Workshop : Ai or not AI ?
For one week, we invited undergraduate science students to explore the advantages and limitations of AI.
Working in groups, they were asked to explain a physics topic in layman’s terms, using a new format each day: a photo exhibit, a magazine, a video report, etc. Each time, the class was divided in two: on one side of the room were the teams allowed to use AI and were encouraged to use it fully, while on the other side were those prohibited from using it.
At the end of the week, the students collaborated on an exhibit that summarized the week’s activities, presented their projects, and shared their thoughts on AI.
So, AI or no AI?
In the classroom.

This workshop was designed by Julien Bobroff and Lou-Andreas Etienne as part of the Bachelor of Science program at the Villebon-Georges Charpak Institute.
It was developed at the Institute’s Pedagogical Experimentation Center and will be offered to second-year undergraduate students in December 2025.
A huge thank you to all the participants for their enthusiastic participation and incredible creativity!
